My name is Jonas, I'm 20 and I'm from Bavaria. I'm currently in the second semester of my GEII year. I chose France as my European neighbour, but also to practise my French, which I've been studying since secondary school. I chose the IUT because of its geographical location, but also because of the practical courses it offers

 I'm happy to be taking a course in a lab after 2 years of distance learning, which is still impossible in Germany. This stay has also helped me to think about my future direction. For me, the most interesting thing was to see the differences in teaching methods between Germany and France. I find that the relationships between students and teachers are closer here. I was surprised to make friends so quickly at the IUT; sponsoring a French student helped me a lot, as did the students at the SUAPS where I climb regularly.

 I have no regrets about coming to Sainté, which is a nice town with beautiful countryside all around. Before I leave, I'll be cheering on Les Verts at their next matches and I'd like to visit Paris and Annecy.

Once I'm back, I want to keep in touch with my mates here and come back. I'm making the most of my stay, which has opened me up to others and made me more independent.
